Procedural generated Lightning tendrils, all Houdini. The multi-colored vertices here are actually used to tell the shader: When to fire the tendril, it's length at each vertex and if it can apply dynamic movement to that segment. Those are encoded in RGB

Originally designed to be a "power source" for our project Wave Collapse. This is an example of Shader + static geometry. No vertices are added or removed. Only fragment clipping.
